Grocery Shopping

It is Sunday, August 1.  Time is flying by.

Today we ventured out into the subway.  It is not nearly as scary as the NYC subway.  The trains are exactly on time, the signs are clear even to non Japanese speakers, the cars are modern, air conditioned and well kept.  Turned out to be quite fun.  We went grocery shopping since none of us want to spend a fortune here just on eating.  So we got supplies for our rooms.  The unusual thing about grocery shopping here is that it is not unusual.  It was like being in an American grocery store except for the amount of seafood and seaplants for sale.  We hunted down 4 different grocery stores, I walked 14,000 steps or 4.3 miles this morning.

I am going to take a nap.
